NaNoWriMo Day Four

Tonight the writing was rough. The story was not flowing. My inner critic was very bored and was appalled of some of what I wrote. But that's okay.

I pulled out my magic word envelope, send to me by Ariel in the first online Lit Star Training class I did with her. I've added to the envelope and it now also includes a couple of phrases and a couple of postcards a friend gave me, photographs by her favorite photographer.

My ending word count for today - I'm just about to head home and to bed since I have to leave the house at 7:00 AM - is 7141.

I'm happy with this number. I'm about 500 words ahead of the average needed to complete in 30 days. Because tomorrow is a crap shoot. I may have a lot of time to write (by hand) or I may have no time. Watch tomorrow night for an update on that!

Let's see - what happened in the story tonight? Oh: Sam and Billie had a fight - about children and fresh air and responsibilities. And Hank went to check on the house he's taking care of and then unexpectedly came to with the carpet smashed into his face and his limbs not going in quite the right direction.

Finally, a little action. There will be more. I feel the stage has been set for some major to happen soon. Who knows? Maybe tomorrow!
