NaNoWriMo day 28

Today got a little complicated. I left home early, with my swimsuit under my clothes, to go for a swim on my way to work. Unshowered, because I'd take the pre-swim shower and then the post-swim shower.

Unfortunately, one of my studded tires was flat.

Luckily, I still had the regular tires in the back seat - not having had time to unload them and haul them to the shed, yet. Luckily the tire went flat overnight (it had been low, I filled it up after work last night) and not while I was on the freeway. Luckily my partner was home to wait for AAA to arrive in case they did before I got out of the shower, since I wasn't going to have time to go for a swim. Luckily AAA arrived in a timely manner. And, finally, luckily, I arrived on time to work.

So - plans gone awry, but I'm grateful it happened the way it did. If I would have found the flat tire when I was just leaving to go to work, I would have been late.

So, gym canceled. Writing time canceled. Stopping at Trader Joe's canceled. And all is well.

I wrote a little bit more and the story is progressing. I know basically where it's headed. All I need now is a few hours of writing time to get me to the end of the story. Which I have. Two hours with Jenny tomorrow at one of our top writing locations. And some unspecified amount of time (I'd guess 3+ hours) with Deb on Tuesday night. I will get to the end.

For now, my tiny word count boost leaves me at 50,661.
